Indeed it is a fun place. Tonight they were having CHL qualifications. We casual shooters took a break and hung around the door of the first bay where they were shooting. When they got to the five round free-fires, EVERYBODY violated the rule on rapid fire and 25 rounds banged out lickety-split. We were all laughing and grinning at the newbies! There were maybe ten more guys and gals waiting their turns to qualify. Gotta love it!

I have advanced Alzheimer's. I wander and get lost a lot. My wife knows to look for me at The Bullet Trap. Today I overheard this exchange at the gun counter:
Potential customer: "I keep looking and looking, but I don't see any Bersas for sale."
Salesperson: "There's a reason for that."

Why do I shoot at The Bullet Trap? Because they are sensitive to my needs as a disabled senior citizen. Let me give you an example:
Range Officer Mark: "What are you shooting today?"
Me: ".380auto. But please don't put anyone next to me firing a large calibre. My detached retina is just now healing, and my pacemaker is not mil-spec rated."
Mark: "No problem. You're on lane 10."
As I am putting on "eyes and ears" I hear:
Range Officer Mark: "What are you shooting today?"
Next shooter: ".454 Casull."
Mark: "You're on lane 9."

Can someone tell me why there seems to be so much Bersa-bashing going around?
I finally threw all of my Glocks, Sigs, Kimbers, Kel-Tecs, Springfields and HK's into the creek behind my house.

Last time I heard at Bullet Trap, "We make a lot of Money from the range, especially if you buy our ammo or rent our gear!"

It is simple sexual politics. The Bersa I bought for myself worked like a hose. The Bersa I bought for my wife and took to the range for her to shoot was a barking female dog. Nothing is more humilerating for a gun nut than to be found wrong by the wife.

You are spot on! But let me 'spain why I put up with it. Here is the dialogue from the last time I bought a gun at Da Rap:
Me: "Dave, oh great one! Guru of guns! Please, oh please! Condescend to sell me this Smith and Ruger .123 maggot! I assure you that I am worthy! (If you know Dave, this is how you must approach him, total obeisance.)
Dave: "You cannot afford it! But if you could, it is $1,234.5678, not including tax."
Me: "Dave, oh great one, guru of guns, what is my member price? Academy sells it for less."
Dave: "Oh, foolish member! Do not ask! Only wonder, can you shoot your new gun at Academy?"
Me: "OK. I'll take it."
