Whenever nothing seems to hold, even liquid nails, I finally settle with 2 part epoxy glue. I recently noticed that Gorilla has started marketing that type of glue, in addition to their regular stuff. Their epoxy sets in 5 minutes. Used some yesterday, after liquid nails failed.

OK, OK, I think Keith B nailed it!!!! But, I do think I will branch-off and try MasterofNone's Double Barrell MRE Heater Bomb!!!

I have to add that this is the perfect day to be working on this project, sitting at home waiting for it to warm up!!
