You can buy the multi-packs of hothands for a dollar in many places... lay it on the side of the holster/gun that faces you and it will still be toasty when you return... they last for 6-12 hours depending on the kind you get.

I too am in a school setting and have to leave my weapon in the car. I wear my holster all day.... that way nothin' cold is going close to my belly. There is no rule against wearing an empty holster, and it makes for a lot less contortions in the car

I assume you are carrying IWB. I have two ways (which I use) to combat the "ice cold pistol" syndrome:

1. A Kholster will make sure the weapon never touches your body. Don't let the size put you off. The leather backing is extremely comfortable and flexible. If you want to, you can cut it into any shape you want. I haven't felt the need to do that.

2. Wear a paddle holster under your coat. A quick stop in a bathroom stall will allow you take the holster off when you arrive & put it back on when you leave. Re-holstering in my truck is a snap. I use a Tucker First Strike with leather lining. Of course, there are plenty of others that may be more to your liking.

Simple solution to a simple problem:
put it under your leg for a few minutes, then reholster.

Although, I like the idea of the microwave plate thingy. It has decent reviews.

Get one of these. It will keep both you and your gun nice and warm.

my glock never seems to be cold. I guess its an upside to plastic.

I can't believe a man would make this complaint...but, I would never have envisioned blonde high lights being seen in guy's hair either or man purses or, well you get the idea...

Can you imagine a soldier complaining to his drill sergeant: My Beretta is terribly cold to the touch, can you suggest a way to make it fabulous again?

From your statement, I'm guessing you're a liberal. The vast majority here are conservatives.

Back when G.W. was President, you may have noticed that the various liberal web sites viciously condemned him for little or no reason.

From what I see posted here, there's precious little overall Obama bashing on this mostly conservative web site and the one post you're upset about was quite innocuous comparative to the what G.W. suffered when he was President.
