Here's my Tokarev M57 - just couldn't resist......

Where's the ambidextrous safety? I guess that if Stalin had wanted me to have a left hand, he would have issued me one.


I would enjoy owning something like one of these pistols, but it would be useless to me from a practical perspective for self defense.

I used to have a Norinco Chinese Tok in 9x19. Good shooting gun and reliable, but hated to have to pull the slide back to chamber a round. The serrations on the rear of the slide were cut deep and the edges were so sharp if you weren't careful they would literally cut your fingers. I bought it pre-1994 ban for $69 and sold it a few years ago for $250. Not a bad profit for a 15 year old gun.

I'm certainly glad that's not a problem on the Yugo M57's.

I might even show up with it at an IDPA match some day.

don't know how long it will last, but Budsgunshop and Sportsman's Guide had it yesterday.

Better jump on it, though.
