The barrel would need a hinge somewhere around knee length to work with my IWB carry holster.

What is the weight of the recoil spring and where did you find one?

It has a 20lb spring for a 5" Govt. The recoil plug is solid for 2" then skirted like normal for another inch.

That makes a lot of sense, but I'm not sure that I would have ever thought of that solution on my own.
