From WFAA source http://www.wfaa.com/home/Person-of-Inte ... 63874.html
According to public records, Nelson was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in October in Dallas and was sentenced to eight years of probation.
Then, in November, he was sent to a state facility that houses defendants who violate their parole, community or mandatory supervision conditions. He was released less than two weeks ago
This is a broken system. Probation for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon? He was picked up shortly thereafter for parole violation and let go again. Holy cow, what does he have to do to get incarcerated and taken out of the public mainstream? Clearly he does not belong out amongst the law abiding citizenry. The judge that let this creep go should be held responsible for housing him and watching after him if he/she is so stupid that they let a person with this track record go free. Surely the Anti-crowd can see why we the people have a need to protect ourselves. The evidence is clear that the system of police, courts and places of incarceration no longer serve that purpose.

Well, apparently, being a career criminal with a clearly escalating pattern of violent behavior wasn't enough for our justice system to keep him locked up. I guess he did not want his last two victims to ever be able to identify him and I have to believe they would not have been his last victims either. The violence and hatred it took to beat a defenseless old woman to near death and murder a beloved pastor boggle the mind. The guy has absolutely no fear of God and has thumbed his nose at the justice system. I hope he never sees freedom again.

That's horrible, I sure wish someone would have been there with the ability to send this guy on his way to where he belongs.

Now they have arrested a second person. Some women these two were hanging out with the evening of the murder turned them in. They reported the two were bragging about the killing and one of them showed the women items belonging to the victims. The perps took one of the victims' credit cards and went straight to the Parks Mall to buy jewelry, etc. From the joking they were doing about the murders, it is clear they had absolutely no remorse. :mad5
My heart goes out to the families of the victims and the church family who lost a beloved pastor at the hands to these two.

While this story was developing the LEO's were not saying how the pastor was killed.
I assumed that he was shot, and the cops didn't want to divulge weapons specifics.

But that is not the manner of death. In this case the 24 year old perp STRANGLED
a healthy 29 year old man who was awake and in his office when the crime transpired.

Wow - that is an up close and personal way to do someone in.

Please reserve a room in Huntsville's death row.
Everybody remember that you can't carry near the execution site on execution day.
