I have several Uncle Mike's holsters. I use 2 of the pocket holsters for carry, and the IWB holsters I use as a holder for my gun when I am loading a bunch of them into the same range bag or putting them on the table to clean. I don't trust the IWB holsters for carry, but they work for other purposes.

Add some velcro and you have a much more secure solution. If you can secure the cheap holster inside the bag it will also make it easier to access in case of need, the holster stays in the bag as you pull the weapon.

bought a Galco after that

lol. Yeah! My only drop was secondary to using an Uncle Mike's IWB. I had ordered my Crossbreed Supertuck, but wanted something to see how it felt to carry IWB, and so that I could wear my PM9 around the house while waiting to take my CHL class (taking 3/26). The Uncle Mike's was reasonably priced at Gander Mountain. Never, ever use a holster that does not maintain its shape in your pants. It is moronically difficult to re-holster it without dropping your trousers to do it. Does not matter what brand it is. My Kahr dropped about four feet and bounced off of the concrete in my garage. Needless to say, I was mortified, terrified, and humble-pied. Thank God I was not shot in the eyed. I was told that my Supertuck shipped yesterday, so this should not be much of an issue soon.

I once dropped my Walther PPK out of a belly band holster while sitting out on the patio with family. The only person that noticed was my dad. He never said a word. I picked up and put it in my pocket very quick. Anyhow, been there, done that.

High Noon IWBs
No complaints, though, about my Uncle Mike pocket holster that I have carried almost daily since
before the turn of the century.

The holster I have is very comfortable, it is just that it is made of a soft material that completely compresses once the gun is removed. Once you un-holster, you need a little privacy to get it back in place safely. Notice I said, "safely". You can try to force it back in, but I honestly think you have to overhandle the gun to get it done. Since the Kahr I use has no external safety, other than your brain and index finger, it can get a little dicey. Hate for the trigger to get caught up on anything. As far as comfort of carry goes, I would completely forget the gun was there...not higher praise as far as comfort goes.

I use DeSantis holsters that are specifically molded for the SA that I carry. With a strap to fasten over the back. Very comfortable and definitely not easy to accidentally fall out, fall off. About $75 for each. BTW...they are belt attached on outside of pants...

LOL Be glad you were not in a bank and dropped it. When I was young my dad and I went to the bank and he had been doing some work around the house and still had his tape measure on his belt. He went to adjust his pants and the tape measure hit the floor. Everyone in the bank stopped and looked with shock on their face. Everyone thought it was a gun. We laughed all the way home.

You say it didn't fire. I don't believe you. Everyone knows if you drop a gun it fires.

I'll sheepishly admit that the closest I've come to dropping my gun was when I removed my holster/gun package before entering a middle school volleyball event. I was attempting to stash them in my backpack, located in the back seat, when the gun snagged on my dress shirt or the seat, and I tried to grab it. Totally pulled the trigger as it unsnagged and dropped back into the holster. The safety was on, no bang, but it made me realize how close I got to having an ND into the floorboard of my vehicle.
