Glad to see someone has a little humor about a simple question, not sure where all the ear doctors came from???DoubleJ wrote:WHAT???
It was just a simple question about colored plastic.
You brought a grin to my face...
And just an FYI the average price of a hearing aid in 2009, where ever this topic came from, was $1,601.00. I'm just askin about colored plastic here in my thread...

Nice to know a fellow that knows his "pinks", I'm not far from there, we're off 1488 just North of The Woodlands, thanks.Divided Attention wrote:I don't know what area you are in, and I don't know prices, but Thunder Gun Range in Conroe has "pastel pink"/ "rose" if you will, and HOT pink

I'm somewhat in the same boat. Since going through with the efforts to get my chl and taking my dad with to buy my new pistol, my mother has now decided that she needs a gun and even considering a chl(she has had a very close call at the petsmart or whatever at 1488 and 2978-(?) by the woodlands). She now wants to go to the range with me as often as possible, and also wants a pink head set and the pretty pink little Taurus .380 at academy for her birthday in 2 weeks. At least she was smart enough to tell me to look around when i informed her that she would NOT be getting one without a safety.
So... is it a revocation of the man card if I'm buying a pink gun by myself if it's intended owner is a female?

It depends whether your status is provisional or confirmed. (says the guy who carries a pink Benchmadebigmoney wrote:So... is it a revocation of the man card if I'm buying a pink gun by myself if it's intended owner is a female?

What does one get for 159.95?The Annoyed Man wrote:3X $8 is still pretty cheap for good hearing protection. $159.95 wasn't too much to pay for me to preserve my hearing.

I have been using 15.00 muffs for ages and my hearing is fine.

Do pink ear muffs go well with flame suits?
What color are flame suits anyway?

I use a set of Peltor's that were $30 - $40 I believe. They have a NRR of 29 If I shoot indoors, I also use the foam ear plugs that are 50 - 75 cents a pair and have a NRR of 31. The combination works pretty well.HotLeadSolutions wrote:What does one get for 159.95?The Annoyed Man wrote:3X $8 is still pretty cheap for good hearing protection. $159.95 wasn't too much to pay for me to preserve my hearing.

I spent 4 years in the Artillery in my yournger days, and my ears are OK, but they are a bit sensitive. If I shoot indoors for an hour with just the muffs, I will get some slight pain / ringing, so I started combining them with the foam ones.
Re: question, flame suit on...
I've seen them in store at Academy before. Tried to get my wife to pick up a pair as well but no dice...
Re: question, flame suit on...
I don't own a pair, but I really like the electronic ear protectors with the microphones. They are very useful when taking classes, and during IDPA type events. They allow you to hear commands from the instructor or range safety officer, while providing protection from hearing loss.

No. I tried out a pair that my friend had, but I don't recall the brand. I think that he bought them at Academy and that they were pretty inexpensive.Grammy wrote:I was thinking the same thing, do you know anything about these (from the posted link above)?WildBill wrote:I don't own a pair, but I really like the electronic ear protectors with the microphones. I saw several sets of pink ear muffs at Garland Shooting Range today. They were Remington MP-22s. Here's one place to get them - $13.95.Grammy wrote:I'm looking for some pink ear muffs...
Brought my wife out shooting last night, we had a great time with a group from church.
My question, I had bought her a new set of black ear muffs (26 dbl) from wal-mart. She wants a pink set, she's a girly girl, where can I find a set that is not 3x the price of the $8 I bought her last week. I have looked online and have not had much luck.
Just trying to encourage her and stay with it. She had a good time and was remarkably accurate with 9mm.

If your buying a gun for any female in your life to protect herself when you cant there is no lose of man card. I let my better half but these awful pink grips on my beretta since thats the one she shoots the best. Do
