Well I'm sure glad to see another member with a wonderful experience with the PX4. I've had my .40cal for a little over 5 months now and absolutely love it. When you find it, your gonna freak out, but don't worry, YOUR SLIDE IS NOT CRACKED OR BROKEN. Its made that way. Its become a huge joke on the Beretta forums when a new member buys a PX4. We always ask them if their slide is broken, and when we get the inevitable "yes", we break the calming news. I have a feeling you will come to enjoy the gun so much that you will find yourself wanting one for your own. I have only had one stovepipe and that was when the wife first shot is and limpwristed. Other than that, absolutely no problems whatsoever. Even dirty, this thing eats anything with no problems. You will want to make sure you lube the nub on the locking block. Some prefer a spot of grease, but I just make sure there's plenty of oil and as I said, no problems yet.
Enjoy it. I KNOW you will!
