Those crazy Brits!
Is that a shotgun in your pants or are you just glad to see me?
Where can I get some of those Tac pants that will hide a shotgun????
Sorry about that. Couldn't help myself. If you re-read your post you knew this was coming!!!! :o

You'd think the guy found a live grenade.

Guess that 550rd brick of .22LR I bought a few days ago would shut down all of Europe.

I'm lucky to be alive after handling so much ammo as a kid

Ammunition is dangerous. I am HazMat qualified. If you have any, call me immediately. I am specially trained in the safe handling and disposal procedures.

PLEASE! Don't try to dispose of this ammo yourself!

I am highly trained and undergo rigorous weekly training in proper disposal techniques.

I've made up my mind...I'm going to style some of these pants---> :chldancing
Dude! You'll be Emmit Smith! (Okay, I admit I watched Dancing with the Stars last night, and my significant other didn't even have to twist my arm; she paid more attention to Emmit and Mario than I did, though, so my vote was abstained.)

My goodness, a .22 short. I wonder what the response would have been if they had found a .45 JHP. Or, gasp, a 25mm from a Barrett XM109.

Oh, wait. Finding one of those 25mm jobs on my doorstep might give me pause...

Me, too. "Man! I've got the ammo, now I've got to get the gun so it doesn't go to waste!"

And don't tell me you've never bought ammo for a gun you don't (yet!) own.

At least one of my uncles spent 3 years in stationed in England during WW2. He was quite impressed with the people. He told me, "Them John Bulls are tough."

This is utterly, utterly embarrassing. Quote: "To get hold of one of these is not easy. You have to go through a scrutinised search, you need a licence and you have to belong to a club." end quote.

Yes, sad Britons, what happened to your toughness? You have the thought police, cameras on every corner, and you are told to not defend yourself when attacked because "violence" is always wrong.

Contrast this when I found a .45 (active and "ready to fire itself!!") in the street. I did call the cops to see if they would care, but I was told "just throw it away." So I took it home to fire in my own .45.

They make that 22 round sound like an anti personnel rocket powered grenade. I found one lying in the gutter near my house once. Lucky the neighborhood wasn’t wiped out by the darn thing. :fire Sounds like we need a UN peace keeping force over there.

Sadly, it doesn't seem like we are too far from that over on this side of the pond. It seems like I hear these very thoughts being preached almost daily. :banghead:

LETHAL: The .22 calibre bullet found in Walthamstow High Street on a market day morning (D6W1001)

LIVE ammunition has been found lying in the doorway of a busy high street shop.

The .22 calibre short round bullet was found at the entrance of the 99p Stores.

Mr Khan said that if it had been struck hard enough or exposed to heat it could have gone off.

"How can you feel safe when you are finding things like this on the street?

The bullet has been examined at a Metropolitan Police laboratory and details about it kept for future reference.

A police spokesman said: "Recovering firearms and ammunition is a priority for the police. We take the same view of ammunition as we do of a gun.

"If it goes bang, it is still lethal."
Lol....well...see what happens when you sweep stuff under the carpets..ha.ha...'the bullet will go off when struck or esposed to heat...yeah enough heat in London will set off that .22 . The sky is falling, the sky is falling. Oh lordy!
