Thank you all for your prayers. My wife is still in Baylor. They did several test today on her heart. She was very tired and weary tonight.

Will do my best to keep you updated. Your prayers are very coveted.

She has been admitted to MICU tonight. She had two strokes last year. They have found she has some heart trouble and it showed back up tonight wit the EKG and blood test.

Thanks
Carl
Carl, I know the difficulty preachers have with trying to purchase ins.... our family (and many preachers I know) have opted for one of the Christian Share programs. Glenn Beck has interviewd the guys from the one we are in. They have been around 13 years, do not take those who use alcohol, drugs, etc nor cover anything that is from improper lifestyle so that your not helping fund their actions. We pay $240 a month. Might look into that!

We will check into that program.

Update: They say she has micro valve prolapse and one other problem. They say she will be in the hospital a little while. They have moved her to a telemetry room.

Thank you again for the prayers.

Maybe it was 'mitral valve' prolapse? sorry, I've been in medicine for 30 years; can't help it.

If so, that's not too bad given that 10% of folks have that same issue and don't even know it.

Now the "one other problem" may complicate that; I hope not by much. I'm believing that she has a swift and lasting recovery on the way.

I don't know for sure. I thought he said micro valve. It is the valve that separates the lower And upper chambers on the left side of the heart.

She is doing very good today. She is in good spirits and feels much better, but they said we still have some test to do.

Carl, that is the "mitral" valve. Lots of times, heart murmurs originate in the mitral valve, and some people, myself included, have a prolapsed mitral valve. Mine is only a tiny bit so and it's not really a problem for me. But for others, it can be quite debilitating.

Carl:

Your bride has additional prayers from me.

Speaking of a "dear wife", let someone with better prose than I, praise your wife:

A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring praise at the city gate.

Proverbs 10, 28-31.

After all these years of marriage I have decided I have been selfish. It sure is hard to come home to an empty house.

Mary is doing better everyday. They will be running some more test today at 10:30AM. Once again we covet your prayers.
