Mine is my favorite ‘Show Off’ 1911. It’s just soooooo purty.
I picked it up, used, in a trade and was very impressed with it’s accuracy. Initially, it had some of the problems that TAM mentions but the recoil spring was too light for a commander length slide (about 14#), when I changed it out to 18#, it was good-to-go.
I’m not crazy about the external extractor, but that’s more a matter of preference. It’s the only 1911 I’ve got that I haven’t done a trigger job (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it).
