In the future scrub it with Lexol saddle soap. You can get the spray bottle, or just a glycerine bar of saddle soap. An old tooth brush is usually the implement of choice when cleaning stinky tack thats been used on sweaty horses a bunch. I'm sure it would work for a holster.

Also - God bless you for 72 hours of IWB carry...I couldn't do it.
