TAM, unless you just gotta have a new one, you can pick up used Sigs for about the same price as a new P250. I bought my P239 plus a CompTac MTAC holster and some ammo for about $600. I got my P226 for $350 at a pawn shop and put $200 in it for the Sig Service Plan which included night sights. The deals are out there. You just need to be patient and look for them. (And no, mine aren't for sale.)

I don't "gotta" have a new one. My last Sig, a CPO gun, was a GSR Stainless Carry 1911. It was a beautiful work of art.......that was completely unreliable and I sold it. But in the process of refurbishing at the factory, they had basically installed all new internals, including a brand new barrel. And it was accurate too.... when it would fire. I attribute it to teething problems with 1911 production, but I likely wouldn't buy another 1911 from Sig. But, everybody I've ever spoken to who own other Sig models—P220, P229, P239, etc.—has loved them and has had no reliability complaints.

The one Sig I fired, a 9mm model belonging to forum member olafpfj, had a double action trigger which I would describe as a bit long if you are used to SA and striker fired guns like I am, but it was every bit as glassy smooth as the trigger on my Model 29, and even a bit lighter—high praise indeed. It was certainly better than the trigger on my old USP Compact, even after I had installed a lighter aftermarket hammer spring in it.
