Its actually just a Baby Eagle per MR's website. Sometimes it is called a Baby Desert Eagle. I had one till my mom took it, it was easier for her to shoot. They are nice, quality guns.

Magnum Research refers to the new 2011 versions as the "Baby" Desert Eagle II on their web site (
http://www.magnumresearch.com/Browse.as ... le:Pistols" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and in their 2011 catalog. I was just pricing them at Bud's, so I happened to have the catalog open.
Does anybody know if it is possible to import the actual 941 Jericho version directly from Israel?

I would swear I have seen Jerichos at the gun shows and on TGT too. I just checked GB and here is a link to one, actually says Jericho on it.

They are great guns. I have been wanting to pick up a steel framed one in 9mm for some time. I think I'll have to do that soon.

My wife's had a compact, all steel Baby Eagle in 9mm for over 10 years - she loves it. But it's definitely a nightstand/range pistol for her - WAY too heavy for her to carry.

I was at a training class last night and after class I asked the instructor about the Baby Eagles. This instructor is well known, well respected and highly qualified, so I do value his opinion. He said he thought that the Baby Eagles have been over-promoted/marketed and under deliver on performance. His was the first negative review I've really heard about the Baby Eagles. Everyone else I have spoken with has said they are incredibly accurate and reliable. I have a soft spot for the IDF and may just have to add one to the collection anyway.

I have experience with two full steel 9mm (my compact; see above, and my friends full size). The only problem I have experienced with mine was from a bad mag, my buddy has had zero problems, and we are talking thousands of rounds. They have been very reliable and mine is the most accurate pistol I own, in fact I took my CHL with it! It's a heavy beast with a full mag, but very comfortable to carry. Then again I bought mine in 2001 for 350 bucks

, so it was (and is, IMO) well worth the money.

Well, I broke down and bought a Baby Eagle 9mm Steel frame semi-compact today at the gun show at GRB.

Now, if I can just figure out when I can get some range time with it.

Went to the range Thursday night and got a chance to run a couple of magazines through the new Baby Eagle. Each group is 15 rounds at 5 yards. Center grouping was the first magazine just trying to get a feel for the gun. Grouping to the left at 9:00 was taking my time. There was an orange dot where the "7" should be.

The grouping at 6:00 was all 15 rounds in double action. The double action is very different than my HK and will take a little getting used to. I really like the feel and weight of the gun and the single action trigger feel is tremendous. Can't wait to get some more range time in with the new Baby!

- Sorry it's blurry....took it with my phone's camera!

I was in it back then... Man how things have changed. At that time my wife wanted a Baby Eagle, I didn't have one.
Today I have Baby Eagles in both 9 and 45.. and no wife.

Some may call that a fair trade, two guns for one wife.
But if that is the going rate, I'll pass.
