I use miltec on my metal frame and mpro on my tactical Tupperware...however I have used a few others that worked well and didn't appear to " evaporate" quickly... I try to wipe off all excess before I reassemble. I can't remember the manufacturer of the oils I'm not currently using.

I'm not a fan of clp I prefer a 2 step process I clean with one product and lube and protect with another product.

I like Mil-comm. doesn't bind up when cold, and doesnt melt off when hot.

I add a small bit of copper based anti seize. It is the same stuff that glock uses and it does not evaporate.

I tried Mobil 1 and it is very runny. After a couple days, there won't be any oil left on the gun. I tried WD40 and it was OK, but it did gum up a little. I've found Breakfree CLP to be a great gun oil as it will not gum up nor run off your gun. It is not as good as Hoppes number 9 for cleaning, but it is decent. If you use a bore snake to clean, CLP should be good enough. The manufacturer claims that it is also good to protect against rust, too.

Best of all, CLP saves time as it is one product that can do 3 things, so there is less time spent cleaning the gun.

I use Gibbs to lubricate my guns (and just about everything else now.) Extremely good stuff. Penetrates well, doesn't leave a nasty residue all over everything, but stays on the gun for a long time. And smells good too.

There is a guy selling it at almost every gun show. A buddy of mine and I split the two-can deal the first time we bought and the cans ended up at $8 each. I have since bought two more on my own.

I use Mobile One 10w30 using q-tips. Seems to work very well on all my firearms.

I am partial to the SLiP2000 products. So are my guns.

I use Sentry Solutions dry lube and Gun Butter.
