"rlol" "rlol" "rlol" Never noticed that one. Do you happen to remember which movie/show it was?
I don't. I've seen it at least twice though.
Both times they go into that "super slow-mo" sequence of the bullet flying through the air, and on the back is the casing. Just hilarious. Left wing nuts who have never fired a gun or even seen a bullet besides in a new box spending all that money making the effects for the movie. I wish I could remember which movies they were.

I don't think so. The movies I'm remembering are at least pre 1995. I think Hollywood finally learned after somewhere around 1996. LOL

Did you see the Myth Busters where they attempt that? Fun to watch. The final conclusion was obvious for anyone who gets ballistics to the kindergarten level that I do, or most on this forum, but still fun to watch.

Like someone else said, love when the gun goes from glock to beretta in same scene. Even better when goes from chrome to black.

I haven't noticed this... but

I did see the Aimpoints on backwards in some scenes of "Tears of the Sun".

Makes it where there the scope doesnt reflect the sun , so bad guy cant see you. Its a new thing everyone is doing.

My pet peeve has always been the marksmanship. The bad guy has a full auto rifle or sub-gun and cannot walk the rounds into the good guy. The good guy pops up from behind the sofa that protected him (giving nod to this having been mentioned) and shoots the bad guy from 100 yards with a snubby revolver, hitting him on the first shot with a fatal round.

And don't get me started on the police mistakes in the movies and TV shows.

We all know at some level that to enjoy a movie we have to suspend our disbelief.

But what really annoys me is when the BG's are chasing the GG's, all in vehicles.
The BG's are spraying automatic weapons fire at the GG's car, which is just a few car lengths ahead.
Bullets may hit the trunk, but they never hit the GG. So ridiculous.

Bad guys in movies are the absolute worst shots in the world.

**************************************************************************************************************
How about when the GG uses a pistol to drop a BG who's a football field away?
It's possible, but not too likely.

*****************************************************************************************************************
Just watched "Thelma and Louise". Susan Sarandon has a Smith and Wesson (or similar) snubbie
and gets the drop on a New Mexico State Trooper who pulled her over for speeding.

She disarms the trooper, who has a gunbelt similar to the cowboy gunbelts, with all the little separate
loops for each bullet. The next thing you know she's waving his 1911 around. She makes a comment about
using his ammunition for her gun. To make this work, he would have had to had the 1911 and a .38 Special BUG.

If I replayed this, I might have sussed out just what he had on his belt prior to being disarmed.
