This is nothing related to Islam. Many jump the gun and blame Muslims. It is more like ...
"It seems it's not Islamic-terror related," the official said. "This seems like a madman's work."
The official said the attack "is probably more Norway's Oklahoma City than it is Norway's World Trade Center." Domestic terrorists carried out the 1995 attack on a federal building in Oklahoma City, while foreign terrorists were responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
The official added, however, "it's still just hours since the incident happened. And the investigation is going on with all available resources."
Terrorists kills more Muslims than non-Muslims. As this incident shows, terrorists can come from all around of the world too.

I am so sadened to read this shocking news. 80 young lives were mercilessly killed for no reason!

The guy reportedly shot 80 people dead at the youth camp. This is what you get when disarmed citizens are stuck on an island where he was the only one with a gun. How sad.

...I'm not buying that it wasn't Islamic terrorists...the link I posted from Sky this morning early in the thread has been turned inside out...is completely different from first information that was in it...a terrorist group has claimed credit and then said they weren't the main group...explosives on the island where the massacre happened weren't exploded...the article as first written and posted listed all the reasons/connections/threats...we'll see...

I so hope they are wrong about that last murder count. So senseless. And a children's summer camp.
I looked up gun law in Norway. Seems guns are allowed, but not really. No concealed carry. It appears to be a may issue Country. You have to show a real need for a gun. ie: hunter, security guard etc. and this is to simply get a license to own a gun, not to carry it around. Apparently travel with a gun is very limited ie: on your way right now to hunt a deer. Ammunition is heavily regulated and you have to have everything locked up all the time in a gun safe.
Sounded like the only people with guns really are the police and the criminals.
Today the criminal won.

There are various summer camps for youths all around Flathead Lake in this OC state and I doubt that any of these camps are armed. It could happen anywhere.

First Islamic group claims it, then disclaims
Now BREAKING: ... Police identified the criminal as a
"Anti-Islamic right-wing Christian Extremist with a gun permit for a Glock Pistol and an automatic rifle."

Is it so shocking to have Mckviegh 2.0 in Europe? it seems that extremists can be Christians and have Anti-Islamic views too.
Please do not get my comment as flaming. Just be aware, evil intent can lurk anywhere.

...there have been a lot of WASP mass murderers, too...for sure...but when the news report talks about the threats Norway has gotten from Islamic radical groups because of their involvement in Iraq and Afgh., Norway's recent dealing with an Islamic cleric, and an Islamic terrorist group claiming responsibility...they don't jump to mind...
...now that they've retracted that story and put the current view in that link, stating one shooter with no ties to any terrorist organization...it does change the logical conclusion...
...new information, new decision...all we can do is process the information provided...we weren't there...though I'd give 5 years off my life to have had a shot at him...

All terrorists are not Muslims.
That said, it would be a little more reassuring if the good Muslim community would express the same outrage at the heinous acts of the bad Muslims as the good non-Muslims express at the heinous acts of their bad non-Muslim brethren.
Just sayin'...
