I keep hearing this from the media and the liberals, yet there is absolutely no proof. No college transcripts. No high school transcripts. No college papers released. No interviews with people he went to school with. Even as editor of the Harvard Review he published nothing. I have no idea where the idea that Obama is some intellectual genius comes from. He can't speak extemporaneously and has to use a teleprompter even when speaking with a group of elementary school children. I think the whole "great intellect" and "most intelligent president ever" is more of the empty media hype used to sell him on a lazy public which is used to being spoon-fed everything.ninemm wrote: Supposedly, the guy in there now has great intellect but I think the verdict on him is that he is an arrogant buffoon.
The media relentlessly pounded Bush's "C" average at Harvard while mostly ignoring Kerry's "C" average from Yale (with a lower overall GPA than Bush, according to the Boston Globe - Kerry's GPA was a 76 while Bush's was a 77) during 2004, yet the media portrayed Kerry as an intellectual genius also. The media relentlessly reminds us of Obama's intelligence now and has absolutely no proof with which to back it up. To the contrary, the last 3 years proves the man is in way over his head. He's proof of the maxim that government bureaucrats get promoted to their level of incompetence.

On the "intelligence" of the president. I would much rather a man with above average intelligence and some common sense in a position of leadership than a genius who thinks that the world must conform to his vision of reality. For example, our current president whines constantly that business are holding cash instead of hiring but refuses point blank to do what would be needed to ensure a stable tax situation and a stable medical costs situation that would allow them to hire again. Instead of reducing the paperwork and tax load on businesses he is looking to increase it. He wants businesses to conform to his reality instead of taking a look at what his policies have done to business. I don't know yet if Perry is the man for the job, but he would be a sight better than what we have now.
