If I see a sign that prohibits guns on a property

It looks like an open invitation for trouble the

criminals take it as license to do anything without opposition

1) Punctuation is your friend......and everyone else's too.

2) So is the declarative sentence.

3) Punctuation is your friend.

I don't know if this story is true but it makes the point.

Remember Western Union when they actually sent a messenger with a telegram?

Remember when they would spell the punctuation instead of simply putting the punctuation mark?

They way I heard it was that it came about because they got sued at the turn of the century (yeah, the last one)

for this sentence:

"No price too high."

But what the sender meant was:

"No. Price too high."
