Funny story there. I actually had this happen at a friends bachelor party, at a club similar to the one described. Well, I actually didn't have the gun on me because, like the OP, I wasn't sure of the legality of carrying there. I left the gun in the car, but left my IWB holster on.

So during the course of the festivities, my shirt was lifted up by a dancer, and there was the holster for all to see. Keep in mind that none of my friends knew that I carried (most were from out of state, only in Texas for the friend's wedding, and I only got into shooting since moving to TX).

It actually went over rather well, as over 75% of the people in our party owned guns, and over half carry (either concealed carry permits or LEOs--both local and federal). So it wasn't really a problem, just kind of a surprise. I think my friends were more concerned that the holster was empty (The groom-to-be asked "Where's the gun?" in concern) than that I carry.
