Is anyone here showing issues with the computers at DPS this afternoon? I checked my status and it has reverted back to the original state of waiting on required material. I check the August waiting room and someone else reported the same issue. Just wondering if it is wide spread. Give it a look and update us if you can.

The website works fine for me using Safari and Chrome. However, when I used Firefox, I couldn't even get in. It said "You are not permitted to directly access the selected service! "

My lovely wife and I finally went on down to the Arms Room and did our class with Tom Estep on the 7th. It was a total class act. I expected as much. We already did our online application and L-1 prints about two weeks or so before the class. Now the wait begins for the plastic in the mail. I plan to go to an IDPA event on a Monday night, when I am able to get free from work in time.
Anxious for the mail. Just watching that water in the pot. Surely it'll boil eventually.
8/12 Online application
8/17 Fingerprints
9/7 CHL Class
9/9 Packet mailed
9/12 received delivery confirmation via snail mail
9/?? still waiting for the DPS CHL page to be updated.

Grapevinebill, after my NICS denial I started the CHL process and had everything completed and accepted at DPS except for sending in the class certificate, CHL-100. I sent the CHL-100 in a week before NICS granted my appeal. DPS rec'd the CHL-100 on Sept 6 and Sept 16 I'm in mailed status. I feel like my NICS appeal cleared the way for a speedy processing since everything else was approved.
