That is a good idea. At the very least, dry swab the bore to make sure there is no oil or preservative in there and lube up the rails.

Yeah, I also think it's a good way to get to know it first, and thoroughly check for manufacturers defects that are visible before shooting. Plus, I just enjoy it. :thumbs2: Although, it will be hard to resist shooting right away. :patriot:

Thanks again for your advice regarding checking the seller's policy when doing an FFL transfer.
