I'm not a lawyer so check this out for yourself before going with this one.
When traveling from one state to another state
Put your gun unloaded in your car trunk. Guns and ammo need to be in separate locked containers.
Don't make any side trips or unnecessary stops. Check state and local Laws in your destination state.
