My always gun and BUG is a Taurus Ultra Lite w/125 Federal Nyclad in warm weather and Gold Dot Short Barrel 135 +P in cooler weather when the clothes are likely to be more than a tee shirt. My EDC is a 40 cal M&P with 140 gr DPX.

Not always but sometimes depending what I'm wearing and where I'm going.

I'm almost always carrying my 38 snub. If going out where I will wear a cover garment then my 9mm goes but because it is so easy to carry concealed the 38 is almost always on me, even just sitting around the house.

BTW, I keep reading about how hard it is to conceal a revolver due to the cylinder width. My snub's cylinder isn't as thick as a Glock. Heck, even the diameter of the cylinder of my K-frame sized old Dan Wesson is no wider than a Glock.

...I've found the grip is the problem with concealment more than the thickness of the weapon...my BUG is currently a .44 snub...and it's easy to hide...because the grips are small and round...back in the day I had only my duty weapon for off-duty, a 4" M66...hard to have options on $500 per month...and concealing the Packy Presentation grips was the hard part...I've since built a considerable shed roof over my belt buckle...life is easier now...

My primary carry *was* my Kimber Compact Aluminum in a Bulman PDL holster (IWB) which is *very* comfy to carry, but it's not all that comfy when in my 'vette....I'm not a small guy either, that's part of it. My primary carry is the S&W Bodyguard .38 Special +P in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster (front right pocket), you will *not* know it's there. It's amazingly comfortable and LIGHT.

I can draw from the front pocket, not the easiest....but I many times will also put the S&W in the center console...amazingly enough, it fits! Along with a couple of speedloaders. Fairly easy for me to covertly transfer from pocket to console and vice versa.

Like most who've posted, when I carry a revolver it's usually a J-frame in front pocket - sometimes as primary/only gun, sometimes as BUG. I also occasionally carry a "New York reload" (two J-frames) or a K-frame primary and J-frame BUG. My biggest concern with revolver carry has always been speed of reloading, especially with a 5-shot. I realize the chances of needing to reload are small, but even with practice a revolver reload still takes me 2 to 3 times longer than a semi-auto reload. So even a 6+1 .380 LCP looks better in that regard than a 5-shot .38 revolver if carried as a one-and-only gun. But I do trust the .38 +P load more than .380, as well as the reliability of a revolver.

I guess in a nutshell, if carrying a revolver it's usually not my "only" self-defense tool - preferring to have a second gun with it.

I like revolvers and in many ways I have a preference towards them. If I ever move further north of the border, I would switch to a wheel gun. A good revolver has a personality that is hard to find in many auto-loaders. They are just cool.

I hear ya, appreciate it! In my 'vette, due to the seating position (it's more of a reclined position than anything) it's difficult to draw from IWB for me, I think pocket draw/carry is actually easier.

Do you say that because of capacity and the need for more rounds and quicker reloads-factoring some inherent danger associated with your region?

38 spl snub in cargo pants pocket. Ez to draw in car, & if trouble is developing, you can have hand on gun & halfway drawn without anyone knowing. Better to shoot first from the hip with 38 than second with 45 acp. Also, autos can be thrown out of battery & jammed by pushing back on the slide in a struggle, but revolvers with shrouded hammers cannot be jammed in a struggle. Even if you carry an auto, it is great to have a snubbie bug.

I carry a revolver. I like it because the revolver is reliable no jams
If you have a defective round another one comes up immediately.
Is one in the chamber safety on or off not a worry with a revolver.
I carry in a tactical undershirt ( bought from Cabellas Fort Worth also available on line search tactical 511)
has two gun pockets one under each sholder very secure . I carry gun in one pocket and extra ammunition in the other.
Draw back somewhat uncomfortable since the shirt is elastic.
reach in and pull out very easy. A Shirt that is a size larger than I usually wear
takes care of the printing. A cowboy shirt with snaps is great reach in and
the snaps come loose. No need to unbutton the shirt.
