So, yesterday, I contacted the folks at the NFA branch to see what's up... Maybe I shouldn't have.

Anyway, they show be as Pending as of 9/15/2011. Average is 6months to completion.

Guess my daily jog to the mailbox is gonna stop for awhile. :grumble

As I recall, my CHL came faster when I stopped checking the mailbox every 10 minutes. "rlol"

Yes. When compared to the cost of stamps and being a gun I will own forever, it's such a small jump in price.
I've been looking for one but nobody has them in stock.
I guess if nobody has them that makes Midway a somebody.

Ok, so based on my previous trauma of an additional 3 month wait, I ordered a pistol buffer and retrieved the upper from my neighbors house.

Took it out this morning for a try-out.

This is going to be LOTS of fun when it has a stock on it!

Without the stock, it's a bit tough to stablize, so it will not stay a pistol a second longer than it has to

Gotta go check the mailbox...

They did an excellent job. Had it done inside the trigger well on both sides of the trigger slot.

Looking good. Two questions:

1. Why the MUR upper receiver? Not that I mind, because I've had a VIS upper before and I love VLTOR's stuff. It's pretty rigid and would be more suited for a precision build. You could save an ounce or two and some money.

2. The Noveske 10.5" barrel is nice. However, I've seen on four separate instances (with three difference Noveske 10.5" barrel rifles) where when shooting suppressed, the tight tolerances and chamber of the barrel caused popped primers.

Still, nice rifle you're putting together, sir.

What was your door to door time? I will be sending off paperwork for a suppressor on Monday, just curious of how long I can expect to wait. :tiphat:

Sent it off August of 2011, got it back March 1, 2012.

Now, the estimated time for processing has been pinned at about 6 months. Mine rode though three major holidays, so I'm expecting that had something to do with the extra few weeks.

Yeah, I've been hearing 6-7 months on Form 4s and 4-6 on Form 1s, just wanted to check.
