I have the 700 ADL 7mm mag. Used it for hunting for years. In a hunting rifle, I rarely use more than a box of ammo a year. I use the less expensive 140 grn Coreloks. For Texas and whitetails, you don't need anything fancier or more expensive. The ADL in 7mm is not a bad recoiling rifle. My savage in 270 is worse.
