I've still got a bit of a scar on my right arm from a .45 shell. I was standing behind and to the right of a shooter, with my arms crossed. BOOM, went the gun, PLOP went the shell on my arm, and I just kinda looked at it for a couple seconds....
....until I realized that thing was HOT! I've had brass go down the back of my shirt collar, but I wear my shirts loose enough that it gets caught in the fabric, not on my skin. Even the shells I've had bounced off my forehead weren't as bad!
I have to wonder at the women who wear low-cut shirts to the range. They're almost daring fate....
