Mine is to learn twice as much as I did last year and I'm certain I will if I continue to read and partisipate on this forum. I joined in Sept. and I have learned a bunch and enjoy it. This is a great bunch of Guys and I look forward to meeting some of you one day. I plan to shoot much, much more and spend more time with my better half traveling and fishing. What I donot plan to do is get up at 4:30 in the morning unless I'm going fishing or hunting.

Three resolutions....
1) Be a better husband
2) Be a better shooter/instructor
3) Get back to the gym because I saw KinnyLee's video of myself at the CHL Forum Day and realized I'm one fat gorilla. Scale says 325lbs

When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

Number two: You already are. Is Clint Smith trying to recruit you?
Number three: I resemble that remark. But you have the advantage of being taller.

I was going to get rid of this belly, but that's put off for a few more day's. When I got to the range with my class yesterday there was this Nutty, Chocolate, Fudge kind of cake waiting for me and I tried some of it when I got home at 9:00 last night and again for breakfast this morning.
I'm not going on a diet untill I finish it.
Thank you Mrs. Casey

After 30+ years of smoking I have made up my mind to quit. After I told the better half, she told me if I lasted until the TSRA show in Feb. I could get a new toy.
Great, better health and a new toy. I am determaned now.
All of you have a safe and happy new year.
By the way, whats wrong with sleeping in until 4:30am?

I will spend the evening with my wife at the nursing home, giving thanks that I still have her with me. WIll be back home by 8:30 - 9:00 PM and will spend a little time with my dog (year old Lab with a broken leg) and probably be asleep long before the NY.
As for myself, I will spend as much time as possible with my wife, I also want to be more active in the coming year and loose a substantial amount of weight. (VERY substantial). Hopefully my shoulder will heal to the point where I will be able to shoot right handed again but in the meantime I am determined to shoot weak side so that my toys will not continue to be safe queens.

My goal for the next year is to earn enough money to buy a cheap, used shotgun just to find out if I like shotguns. I haven't shot them much. If I don't like it I will probably just sell it at the next show....maybe my uncle would buy it.
Happy New Year!

I made Jason a similar offer to quit dipping snuff!RPBrown wrote:After 30+ years of smoking I have made up my mind to quit. After I told the better half, she told me if I lasted until the TSRA show in Feb. I could get a new toy.
He has not used any tobacco since July of 2005 and I am very proud of him! You can do it too! We will all be here to back you up and to help you celebrate with your new "toy" in Mesquite!
P.S. Jason said to tell you that he would be glad to help you pick out that new Glock!

I've been smoking for around 40 years and I agreed to quit. Gave up cigarettes for cigars about 5 years ago and its about time to give them up now. Problem is I smoked cigarettes but only out of habit. I do enjoy Cigars. Health insurance is whats killing me not the darned cigars.
I surely enjoyed cigars while at a gun range, might sound silly to most, but they go well with gunpowder.

Oh, and to not buy pants any bigger, also.
