A new Rule has just been adopted. Forum members cannot drink alcoholic beverages, party, or be on the roadways between the hours of 7:00 pm on 12/31/06 and 8:00 am 1/1/07. We want to have a full crew with us January 1st!
Seriously folks, please please be careful this New Year's Eve. Every year too many lives are needlessly cut short and families are devastated by the loss of loved ones.

Now, if that ain't love, I just don't know what is!
Thanks, Charles!

And I hope your finger is better.
Everybody: Stay safe out there. I'll be following Charles's new rule: home before 7:00 on New Year's Eve.
Not a stretch for me. The rest o' you blokes: don't party too hardy.

I'll be at work.
My relief typically gets me out the door at 2345, which is just early enough to dash home in time to kiss my lovely bride at the stroke of midnight. Or close enough, anyway.
No one in this house will be out partying, nor drinking and driving. After our midnight smooch, my bride might have a Bailey's & coffee to start the new year (her first of three or four for all of 2007). I'll have a Newcastle Ale, and perhaps another just to make sure the first has company.

Well,
My sweetheart and I will share a bottle of wine on our couch. But I promise we aren't going anywhere. Its just that I can't even imagine anything I'd rather do.

I decided many years ago that I prefer to feel good on New Years day, so I'll stay home watch TV and fall asleep long before the fireworks go off. I will get up on NY morning and fire up the smoker and smoke a couple of links of sausage. Which in turn will end up in a pot of beans.... Yummmmmmm!
Happy New Year to everyone.... thank you Charles!

Shoot until 1:pm, dinner at Top Water at 4:pm, movie The Good Shephard at 6:pm and then try to stay awake untill midnite and a single shot of very good Tequila and a good nights sleep.
The Kid's will all come by [ when they get up and get going ] to wish us a Happy New Year tomorrow.
A Happy New Year and God Bless All of You.

Our kids that are local will be here, play a few games, cook a steak or four on the grille have some tea, cola, water or whatever and stay home. Kids won't leave until new years day after black eyed peas are served.
Everyone have a safe and happy new year.

Those are rules that we can follow! Kimberly and I should be home early enough to reflect over the last year for a few minutes and celebrate the New Year. 2006 brought great joy to my life......I know that 07 will be even better! Please be careful out there.
