You picked an excellent time to visit Texas, weather is nice and the flowers are in full...flower.

There are several gun ranges around San Antonio, plus of course the offers above. I am sure doing some shooting is something you can work into your trip. I don't live all that far away from San Antonio, and if all else fails could find you a way to shoot.

I have very fond memories of visiting Ireland, both in Dublin (went into O'Donahue's for lunch and found so many people to talk to didn't make it out until 8 p.m.), and in County Galway, where I did a lot of horseback riding. Hope you enjoy your visit to Texas as much as I did to Ireland.

The only hitch I can think of that you might run into is that I believe most ranges ask for a driver's license to hold as "collateral" so the gun doesn't walk off. I'd call ahead or bring a citizen along with.
