I guess the badge also helps the wife to remember to tell the 911 dispatcher "the good guy is the one with the gun...."

From the above Youtube video:
You can get a license, basically a license to kill, but it's not a license to kill really.
I'll just say this: Imagine if Zimmerman had a badge. It would have just reinforced the idea that he was a wannabe vigilante. In my view, there's a one-in-a-thousand chance that I'll ever have to use my handgun. Inside that slim chance, there may be another one-in-a-thousand chance that a badge would be helpful. I'd rather take my risks without a badge. IMO, it's more likely to do me harm than good.

EDIT: Okay, I'm watching the rest of the video now since it seems to be your's.

This is what I tell those who question campus carry:
Q. When the cops show up, they aren't going to know who the real bad guy is because everyone else will have their guns out.
A. The cops are going to shout "drop your gun!" and the good guy will comply. The bad guy will not. The cops will instantly know who the bad guy is.

Personally, I'm not really scared that someone might call the cops on me. When a cop gets there, chances are my hands will be visible, and if they aren't I can guarantee you they won't be near my gun. If the cop is over-reacting, he/she is most likely going to say "slowly show me your hands, raise them, get on the ground, whatever"... and I'll comply. Then once he/she secures my gun, I'll show him/her my CHL, and I'll go home in one piece that day.

Also, the fact that you're pulling from a holster tells me that you're not some gangbanger.

"I'm bending over to put my gun on the ground, you might see my badge." - that's not good conceal-ability IMO.

If the badge is a magical device, then what prevents a bad guy from going and buying one too?

However you have a good microphone, and the video is better than most (however the video portion seems to freeze a bit). Stick around the forums, I've learned a lot by doing so.

It can't be for real-- there's no "Wait-- two for the price of one special offer".

Geez...
I don't want to publish the website's name, but I'm referring to the website that is hosting the picture in the previous post.

That website sells "Collector Badges" which look just like real ones. Now I know where those fake cops get them.
