I see this kind of post over and over again.
Having liberty and excising one's God-given rights (which were then enumerated in the Constitution) comes with a cost - one that must be paid for over and over again.
If everyone is afraid to take the ride, then the right will go away and we'll be right back to where we were when we started (or worse).
Personally, I'll take that ride. I wish more patriots would as well.
Who's paying your bills?

Good debate. I know the sign was functionally wrong. My choice to abide by the establishments desire was so that there would be zero chance of me being the center of attention that evening. The center of attention was my now thirteen year old special needs nephew. I see no reason to trump that event with a chance of someone seeing my waistline and what I have a right to.

Exactly!!! I was just thinking the same thing. If I saw that sign, I'd walk my happy ass right on in. If it is concealed, they don't know it is on me. The sign isn't legal anyway. It's not advisable to mess with somebody that knows a little bit more about stuff than they do about the correct CHL sign, especially when you are not only a CHL holder, BUT your DH is a police cadet in the Police Academy!!!!

Do a search for "Grapevine Mills Mall" and see all fuss their incorrect signs have caused. I don't go there if I can avoid it, but not because of the signs. When I have gone there I've carried every time since getting my license almost 10 years ago.
Wife and I went to Grapevine the week before Thanksgiving. Wanted to do some Christmas shopping, and to celebrate our 18th anniversary. We stayed at the Gaylord Texan, which I highly recommend, and which had no signs posted anywhere that I could see. I had heard all about the signs, at the mall, through various threads on the forum. Needless to say, I carried. We went in through the JCP entrance. I scanned carefully, but did not see any signs. We did not stay long because that mall is kind of creepy. As we were headed back towards JCP, I saw the main entrance. I walked over and could see the sign outside of the door, on the wall of the building. I took out my iPhone, to take a picture, and the wife says (really loud), "Oh! You just want to make a point!". Not sure what she meant by that. I was just thinking I might have to post it on the forums some day.

That is the same sign that Chuckee Cheese has in the Sherman store and it sounds like it's in the same location. Hard to see.
This week I was down to a Dr appointment at a place on Forest Park rd in Dallas. (Right across from Southwestern Med Center) They did have a proper 30.06 on each entrance. I don't know if it makes any difference but the same building houses the Texas Tech School of Pharmacy.
