Ms. Hagatry was pitching the the upcoming program with mention of some sort of NYC social program. To her right was the image of BHO.

I think C-dub was saying that if the show is set in NYC - no matter where it's actually shot (and it IS shot in and around NYC, by the way) - then the show should reflect NYPD procedure. Guns in NYC do need to be registered. Therefore, police can look up what guns a person has registered to them.

That's right. Now, how much thought they actually put into this level of accuracy is probably pretty slim. I think they just got lucky having it set in NY. For those who watched
Walker Texas Ranger, did they ever say anything about who a gun was registered to on that show? Even though Chuck Norris was on there I would still be shocked if they did not say things like that even on that show.

But CSI LV and CSI Miami claim registration as well. Does Nevada or Florida have registration?

Lord, Luv A Duck.
My post had nothing to do with registration or political leanings of script writers. But, I kinda doubt that BHOs image was placed where it was w/o some fore-thought. If true, someone with some horsepower who was involved with the program seems to like the guy.
I was curious if anyone else noticed the subtle message. The program was the first that I can remember where a feature player 'pitched' an intro to the program. As luck or random circumstance would dictate, that 'pitch' just happened to have a tri-color poster portrait of BHO displayed low and to the right, of Ms. Hagatry. It'd be kinda unlikely that all the pieces would fall into place w/o some direction and oversight.

I guess it's just one of those unintended consequences.

The show is set in NYC where hand guns are hard to get and registration is mandatory. It isn't Texas. So when the detective says a gun was found that was registered to the suspect, it is as accurate to the location and times as it can be. No political agenda there. It is New York, and that's how they do it in New York.

Except for the fact that in places like New York or Canada that have gun registration the registry is simply a list of guns owned by people like you and I.
Since we don't go out on murdering sprees, said lists are as useful as sand in a desert.
In fact, Canada has found their registry to be so useful as a crime deterent (

) they're getting rid of it.
So while it may reflect the accuracy of such a registries existence, actual police haven't had near as much luck using them to solve crime as they do on TV.

its just pure NBC
they had obama's TIME FOR CHANGE posters in episodes of HOUSE
one was just above a toilet in a scene.
i try to pick em out
its fun
like in criminal minds...they stated they where in florida....on the coast.....but all the boats had canadian registration numbering and there were Mountains
best was a new mexico episode...a killing at a rest area off I-40...sadly there is absolutely nothing at that stop, not even a rest area
there is an abandoned gas station though with anti obama graffiti
