That's why we all say "concealed is concealed" in other words if it's legal, It's no one's business what's in my pants.
As far as where you choose to work and their "policies" and your decision to follow or not follow "procedures" on any matter ... that's your business.

Please realize that I am licensed to carry a concealed handgun in the commonwealth of Virginia, and do so on a regular basis. However, because I am a Virginia Tech student, I am prohibited from carrying at school because of Virginia Tech's student policy, which makes possession of a handgun an expellable offense, but not a prosecutable crime.

At the time this article was written, the year before 32 defenseless unprotected people were killed there, it wasn't illegal to be armed, they chose to be unarmed and follow a policy which had consequences of being expelled or fired.

Knowing what I know now, I am glad I asked you all before going to HR! That would have been a major rookie mistake. I almost dont want to admit it, but I more than likely will not carry at work becuase of the chance of being fired.

Reading that says you can't carry in your office per company policy. However, the new parking lot law superceeds the no parking lots clause and you can keep your gun in your car as long as you don't work for a school or refinery.

BTW, you might also consider amending your attachment a bit - there is a name of some legal counsel type clearly visible (wouldn't want you to be "outed" in this manner) .... realize it's a small risk, but you never know - concealed is concealed, better safe than sorry, all that

come up with a sign that really does carry an enforcable restriction.
