Ive had mine for about 6 months. Fallen completely in love with it. Extrememly concealable and once I figured out how grip it correctly any issues I had with the magazines has dissapeared. I am will be looking at the 938 when they come out. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

i guess they finally fixed them?i know several people theirs the slide pin falls out when they shoot it.

There were several issues early one...bad design in the mag tearing up the feed ramp; bad springs, etc. No problems in the new designs the past 2 years.

P238? Why, that's my baby, along with my Beretta.

Question: My P238 shoots low and to the left. Me or the gun? What do I do?

Yea, I need to do that. But when I look at the gun from the front, I can see that the muzzle sits kind of at the lower left of the front opening of the slide... Probably suggesting it's the gun. How would I fix something like that? Can I just adjust it somehow when I put it together? Why is the muzzle down there?

Are you shooting 6:00 or covering your target? Cover your target with the front sight. Left? Could be not enough trigger finger. Get a snap cap and practice dry firing at a dot on the wall and see if you are staying on target.

Or you can buy or borrow a trigger guard laser, sight it in at the range, and then practice with the laser. Many, many times at the house with an unloaded gun I would turn on the laser, aim and then look at the way the sights lined up on the target. Then I would do the reverse - aim with the sights and then turn on the laser to see how close I was. Wife and I had all kinds of initial problems getting a half-way decent group with the Sig. After laser practice and putting 1,000+ rounds through it, we are both significantly better.

I believe you need a special (and expensive) tool to adjust the sights on a 238.

FWIW I too have the same issue of low and left. Since it also happens with my other postols I am pretty sure it is Operator induced. I am working on overcoming it but some habits are hard for me to give up. The laser comparison of aiming points method is great. Cabella's has a relativley inexpensive bore sight laser snap cap that is good for sighting practice. I have found the least expensive method for me is to aim slightly high and right, but then I can be cheap in some things.

The next time you disassemble your p-238 have a look at the front of the slide. The opening in the slide for the barrel is more of an ovoid than a circle. As you know, when you fire the gun the slide moves towards the rear of the pistol which pushes the rear of the barrel down and the front of the barrel cants up. The slide opening is elongated for that upward motion of the barrel's muzzle. When the slide is in battery the front of the barrel should ride on the lower portion of the barrel opening in the front of the slide. This helps steady (lock-up) the barrel prior to firing a round. Of course, this from my layman's perspective. A real 'smiff can give you the proper chapter and verse and describe the p-238 cycle using the proper vocabulary.

So if it's not the gun, then I'm either tightening my fingers or jerking/slapping the trigger. I'm fairly sure I don't jerk or slap the trigger, but I may be tightening my fingers. I'll pay attention to that next time. Question though: How come I don't do that with my Beretta? The Beretta is a much larger gun though, so gun size might have something to do with it. And there's still that suspicious looking slight angle to the muzzle when looked at from the front...

That's exactly what I've been doing! But here's the thing - this is my carry gun. If I'm dealing with a bad guy intent on doing damage to me, am I going to remember to aim high and right?

It could be worse. You could have a "too little trigger finger"

Accuracy with little guns is more of a challenge.
Have you tried shooting from a bench with a rest?
The suggestion of using a laser is good and can determine if
the business-end is pointing close to where you think it is.

The Hogue grips are for sale on ebay, and I am going to buy one.

I have only had my 238 for a few days, but I really like it so far.

Did you see my P238 Targets???

I am also shooting Low Left... Maybe I was Jerking the Trigger.
I was expecting much more recoil due to previous experience with extremely compact 9mm handguns.

I just need to take her out and practice more.
