How do you like the light? I want to set up my Bushy .308 for hog hunting but it looks like there would be quite a bit of stress on the light mount with recoil. Is there any effect from the light on the scope sight picture (bright light blowing out the scope)? Enough light at 100-150 yards?

I have used it on my 308 Bushmaster and 308 bolt guns with no recoil related issues. With iron sights 100 yards is about my limit, same with an unmagnified sight. With a quality scope with good low light transmission, I can easily see 150- 200 yards with confidence to take a shot. I can see with my Nightforce and XL250 out to about 300 yards and will take a shot out to 250 or so. The quality of the scope will make a big difference on how well it works.
The issue I have with the light and with any light at night is the smoke from firing the first shot can make follow up shots difficult.

Ah, interesting. Hadn't considered the smoke issue, thanks very much for the evaluation. I'd love to have a Nightforce but I'm not so sure the family CFO would go for $1.5-2.0K so I'm looking at the Vortex PST and the Sightron S3s closely. Actually she might beat me over the head over the $1k and under scopes - we'll see.

The smoke issue is mainly when the light is mounted above the barrel. When mounted beneath the barrel the smoke is still visible through a scope but isn't illuminated by the light as much.

I intend to make my SBR (as soon as the paperwork comes back) a .300 BLK with an 8.5" Barrel.

I have that same light and think it's great.

To the OP, it looks like you paperwork on the can came in quicker than the rifle itself. That is tough, but glad to see you finally got it and it looks like a real deal hog slayer.

Yeah, stamp took a little over 5 month, the rifle took a little over 9 months.
