The cost of those media is a sliver of what TV costs in a big market like Houston, and they are more targeted.
BTW, Google used to be hoplophobic, but they have practically abandoned that policy. I just searched for "concealed weapon classes" and got a dozen sponsored links.
The strategy behind these products (deodorants, mouthwash, and the like) is to create anxiety that did not exist and then exploit it to sell stuff that no one really needs. The advertisers themselves (the notorious Mad Men) admit it openly.Room fresheners are sold, not because they "smell good," but because the room "smells" bad.
