Should I take a hint? or am I doing something wrong?

Your not taken seriously if you don't get rapped every now and then. Plus, somebody has to keep the Mods awake and on their toes.

I think I'm giving their toes a workout. And I'm not even a particularly controversial person.

Recently posts I have made - they show up on the thread for a while - are disappearing. Should I take a hint? This is happening to hubby as well. These are not "touchy" posts, but sure can make you think you are crazy when things go away that were there before.

One of them was a response the the question to ladies about do we think how we carry would have made a difference in the baby kidnapping/murder of mother thread.

If I have done something wrong, would the mods please tell me so I can behave?

Any suggestions?

DA, logs are maintained of every action we moderators take, from simply editing a post to outright deleting it. The logs go back to December 2007.

I looked through all moderator actions since March 1, and nothing was done to any of your posts.

Whatever you're seeing--or not seeing--is not a result of moderator/administrator intervention. Prior to today, you had three posts logged on April 15, two on April 12, and one each on April 11, 6, and 5.

After you submit a post it's always a good idea to wait a second until the page loads that shows your new post in the topic. Nothing is infallible, but once you see your message as part of the thread, all should be good.

I also complained about a posting of mine "disappearing". The Mods looked, no evidence of it was found. I, too, got the message telling me it was submitted. It happened once, maybe twice, that I can remember...and hasn't happened for some time. I finally chalked it up to the vagaries of the World Wide Web...just maybe, somewhere out there, my message is stuck in a buffer on some server, missing the bit that would let it go "home"...

Two possibilities
1) Internet Gremlins
2) Wikileaks took them



Or:
3) I have hit "Save Draft" instead of Submit button before and wondered where something went.
(Ok I guess that's 3 possibilities)

The couple times a Mod deleted or moved something I posted, I got a PM notice of what was done.


Looking at my User Control Panel>Manage Drafts folder indicates I made 5 drafts when I thought I was making posts, because I clicked the save draft button by mistake

...when you hit Submit and see that someone else has posted...you have to hit Submit another time...happens to me often...

...of course they may be running my posts through that special filter(the one that TAM has to backwash from time to time)...
