The Globetrotters only pretend to play basketball - it's no more a sporting event than an on-stage comedy skit involving a tennis racket, a football, two midgets, and a Flamenco dancer.
But . . . some people may not see past the pretense and think it's a sporting event, and if one of those people happens to be from the District Attorney's office, proving otherwise may prove expensive in things like lost time and lawyer fees.

I certainly would not risk it. IMO if it can endanger your right to carry then don't risk it. We should be able to carry 24/7 everywhere, and not have to choose where we go based on their policy... but until it's a more perfect world I would not chance it.

they had to get the F out, and turn it into an E because that's what it was, entertainment. that way they could get away with those dudes using roids, and the matches being scripted.
they're still pros, though.
They had to give up the WWF becacause the World Wildlife Federation had the name and trademark first.

Wife Unit and I went to a fight and a Hockey game broke out early last month...
It was literally the first time I ever went to the Toyota Center since it opened...
The convienient parking garage across the street was where we decided to park...To me it seemed very secure, well lighted, and monitored...To me no big deal...
So I locked up the weapon in the "Secure-It" and went in and enjoyed the game...
It was a weeknight, and the activity around the center was kinda low...But it seemed like they have really made an effort, even on the off-nights to keep the vagrancy and other loitering to a minimum, if not downright non-existant...
That doesn't mean I am running around with a lack of awareness of whats going on around me...
I cannot do anything but agree with the assessment that this "event" can easily be interpreted as a "sporting event" therefore I would safely say its verboten to carry the bang bang in there...
Even stating that its more of an entertainment event is a bit too much...
I wouldn't want someone to even try to be a "test case" on this one folks...Besides, unless you intend to not be very vigilant in concealing it, you'd be hard pressed to be a good test case for it...I bet you'd be charged with something completely different, and the carrying of a firearm would only be icing on the cake...
But this is only my opinion...I'd just go carrying anyway, lock it up, go in and enjoy the "event"...
