This was just down the road from the 2003 incident near Chubby's on Hwy 59.

Nineteen illegal immigrants baked to death in the back of a tractor-trailer headed from the Mexican border to Houston on May 14, 2003. When the driver finally stopped to see what was happening to his human cargo, he was outside a truck stop called Chubby’s near Victoria, Texas.

I'm trying not to think about the sheer numbers of trucks hauling human cargo that go by daily without incident. It sickens me.

I do feel for the loss of life, but someone needs to post a sign at the border that reads "Enter at own peril".

Did it make the news outside of Texas? More died here than died in the Aurora shooting. None of my liberal Facebook friends has mentioned it. But there are literally hundreds of posts about banning guns.
