You're not wrong. I'll say I've done it. I'm 100% sure I was legal.
LOL... Then I too feel compelled to confess.

Only law that applies for a CHL is you can not carry in a secured area of the airport. Wife went to vist familey for a week and flew out of Bush. Had major delays and flight changes on the way back. I parked to go help and so the kids could see her and their brother that went. Was Carraying, passed several LEO that I know saw something was there. One keep me in eye site for a short time, till I got to where my wife was. We ended up taking an under ground train tour to get her lugage and the car seat. On the way out saw the same LEO that watched me, exchanged some mild plesantries and we left.

How would the cop know "something was there"? If you are concealing properly, nobody will know "something was there". That feeling of everyone knowing your carrying will eventually subside. Please trust me, nobody, including a cop, can see through your clothing and nobody assumes a lump in your shirt is a weapon. It is highly unlikely anyone, including a cop, would even notice the lump. If he was eye balling you, he probably thought you had a nice shirt or something.

This.
If anyone, including a LEO, notices something, "you're doing it wrong."
