The LCR is the main gun of the topic. I'd think it would work fine but it just looks so dang bad. Been watching some old B sci fic flicks recently and I've seen a few ray guns on there that looked similar. Might not be bad but not my things. Knowing Ruger it is probably a very good gun.
BTW, I'm kind of old fashion. I still much prefer blue steel over stainless.

I really love this board. I had a way-too-tired-to-still-be-up missive. I woke up refreshed. Still love my J frames. Still love my training tool of an LCR .22. Has helped tremendously. Could now qualify with a snub. Will admit that I couldn't have beforehand. Instead of dwelling on the irrelevance of my post, a real honest-to-goodness discussion has evolved.

Even when I am stupid, and wake up wondering if I should have posted in the first place, I feel welcome.
Thanks. You guys rule.
BTW, I love my 642. My 637 reigns as well. Particularly after switching to a G19 for daily carry. My original choices now seem like a no-brainer-why-would-I-ever-leave-the-house-without-this type situation. This carry thing keeps getting easier and easier.

I carry a 340pd as well but with a green hiviz front blade. The Ruger is nice but I bought my Smith for its weight, yes it kicks like a mule, but when the poo hits the fan recoil is not your biggest problem. Its not a range gun, I only shoot it enough to stay proficient and no more. Also I carry it loaded with +p 38spl, not mags and no speed loaders or strips, if I need more than 5 rounds I have bigger problems.

Not exactly, but close. I bought a a Ruger SP101 in .357, and then bought one in .22LR for practice. Then bought a third in .357 DAO.
Now I would only carry the DAO, so I traded the first SA/DA .357 to my brother for a vintage (i.e., made in W. Germany) Sig P228. Uh-oh, the toothpaste is now out of the tube. That Sig is FINE. Fits my hand like a custom orthotic fits my foot. Now I will probably have to buy a Sig P226 in .22LR just to be consistent.
