Yep - forward of front sight on top of the barrel near the muzzle - errr... where the bullets come out....

DUH!
I was going to take the hanguards off,but looking on the end of the barrel works a lot better.My AR is a .556,so the 440 rounds of .556 will work.

Not always, I have built several where the barrel was marked under the handguards.
