We known him for years now and he's a nice fella. We chit chat about the fishing report for a little bit, but he let us go do our business there at the lake. The only time he checks our fishing/CHL license is at the beginning of September. The rest of the year, he doesn't bother us anymore

Edit: BTW, Game Warden has a lot of power. Think someone already mention about they have state-wide jurisdiction. Game Warden are totally hardcore if you get to talk to one.
Just roll thru a national forest in your dog and truck, w/ a gun in it, you wont get back NONE of it!

Game Wardens DON'T fool around, especially up near my uncles deer lease (he has like 8k acres) near Lufkin...do something stupid on or near their National Forest or spotlight poach, and they will jump on you like a fat kid on a twinky!

Game Wardens DON'T fool around
Are those Federal Fish & Wildlife Agents or State Game Wardens?

TX Game Wardens are highly respected in LE. Out in the middle of nowhere with no backup AND you know that the 5 guys you're coming up on have weapons. Hard to get into also.

Ive always been told that Game Wardens have more power than troopers or sheriffs. GW's can search without warrant as long as they have suspicion that something isnt right.

"Suspicion that something isn't right" = Probably Cause in my book.

If it had to do with fish and wildlife or poaching then reasonable suspicion might suffice in their case.

IIRC just by purchasing a hunting or fishing license you are giving TPWD consent to search at any time they deem necessary.

not sure where I heard it from, or if it was even a reputable source...anyone know for sure?

This only applies to Fish and Game laws. They are searching for bag limit violations, etc.
