That's what I was thinking too. They sure whip that one out when they need it...

Just think of the reaction if a conservative said that about a liberal group. The media wouldn't let us hear the end of it. Like I've said before, the double standard is alive and well.

I took the NRA sticker off my wifes car because of it. I dont want some whack job taking this guy up on his suggestion on my wife and kid. I do think this guy should face charges for that statement but i have my doubts.

Personally, I don't put ANY stickers on my cars. Too may nut-jobs out there just itching for a fight. I'd rather fly "under the radar". (Or is that a bad phrase now??)

My bet is, those in power with the ability to charge him with a crime will not.. and call it a 1st amendment deal.
Then later, if one of his disciples goes on rampage ..carrying out the commands.. shooting a few NRA members.. The Media... surly will blame it on.......wait for it......"Gun Violence"

I'm surprised you didn't try to tell us that he "mis-spoke".

Instead of sarcastic noncontributing remarks about another forum user.. I choose to send a note to NASA
Charles F. Bolden, Jr.
Administrator
NASA Johnson Space Center.
2101 NASA Parkway.
Houston, Texas 77058.
Phone: (281) 483-0123.
Office of Public Affairs.
Phone: (281) 483-5111.
Info Recording (updated daily Mon.-Fri.):
(281) 483-8600
and asked them if they were aware of and or condone an employee of theirs calling for the murder of US citizens?
further I asked if Mr Cobarruvias was speaking as a NASA Representative? and if not, what is NASA's position on murdering those with an opposing view?

Yes, I'm fluent in sarcasm. probably to a fault. However, the following ironic and hypothetical situation comes to mind.
Picture this: A leftist whacko decides to take the first nutjob up on his challenge & goes hunting for NRA members. Unfortunately for him, the target he selects is also a faithfully carrying CHL'er. The whacko ends up getting shot, but not killed, in self-defense. During the investigation, police find the whacko's retweet of the nutjob & other stuff stating intent to follow through on the nutjob's threat. Wouldn't that just be completely ironic?

Genius! I wish I had thought of that. I would add that the NRA represents several million
taxpayers whose income taxes go to support NASA's missions.

TAM; The only problem with the tax support part is.. For me it falls under the "Never make a threat you can not follow through on" category.. And as we have NO say in how or what our collected tax monies are spent on.. it seems to be an empty threat.. which only dilutes my position to brow beat them about their employee.
I do however personally control who I talk to, on what social media, and what news organizations I might be so inclined to speak to... I also control what requests I make to the DOJ, TX Rangers, FBI, ect and thus .. those items of discussion were included in my letter to the NASA administrator, the Pubic affairs director, the Internal security director for NASA and a few others.

Oh and, then there is that security clearance concern,.
http://www.dod.mil/dodgc/doha/DoD_Directive_5220_6.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(this is an older public version,, but the current one as it relates to this issue is still on point)
check para 2.2.14
and
enclosure 2, para 2
Seems NASA internal security and a DOD agency responsible for processing and suspending security clearances was informed of the concern that may be valid against this person.
