Factory Ammo Availability vs Re-Loading

My cost is about $40 per 1,000 rounds of .45acp (but I cast my bullets from lead I got pretty much free).

Edit: If I used store-bought lead bullets, the cost would jump to around $130 per 1,000... and if I used FMJ bullets, it would probably be around $300 per 1,000 rounds.

Man it has went up. When I reloaded several thousand (ok about 10k) a few years ago it was a total of about .14 a rd with 230g FMJ. Cost was around .30 for 350g FMJ .50AE.
