We're not THERE yet (at the threatening violence part) and doing so at this point just ads fuel to the antis' fire and makes gun owners look "crazy" in the eyes of the middle-of-the-road citizens on this issue. Who are the fence sitters (who WILL decide such issues legislatively) most likely to fall toward, the side saying "if you do this we'll revolt violently" or the side seeking "reasonable restrictions"?
A lil diplomacy and statesmanship goes a long way and is not a sign of weakness nor compromise. Speak softly, but carry a big stick - and all that.

Right on, Bro! A lil diplomacy and statesmanship but NO compromise. That's what I'm talkin' about.

Diplomacy before war.

So far diplomacy has resulted in the incremental eroding of our freedom. I am not sure how much of your brand of diplomacy freedom can stand.

The second ammedment is not about self defense, home protection or hunting.
It's about the government knowing the population is well armed and can turn on it.
Military style weapons and magazines are my right. And the government needs to know
there are responsible owners of these firearms in the millions. That all train with them.
So that the will of the people is done.

I don't know anymore. I only load up 5 rounds or so at a time unless doing tactical training as I need to SLOW down and save $$ when shooting.
