About 4 years ago my wife and I was in Sportsman's Warehouse and I saw a guy wearing a shoot me first vest and navy blue BDU pants. I told my wife "How much do you want to bet that he's carrying?" So we watch him for a couple of minutes. Sure enough he leans over to look at something on a shelf and there was a print of what looked like a 1911 at his 4:30-5:00 o'clock. That is one of a couple of reasons I don't wear a shoot me first vest or carry that far back. I don't put my holster past the 3:00 o'clock position.

If he wasn't wearing the vest I wouldn't pay too much attention to him. As for me I do wear outdoors hats and I do wear a hat that has the Remington R on it with the work Remington written in small letters under it.

That is greatness! There's a parent's car at our school that has all kinds of liberal bumper stickers on it. That would be great to slip an NRA sticker on there and see how long it lasts.

I don't have a problem advertising products or companies that I've had good dealings with. In this environment it's even more critical... who knows, somebody might notice my BCM hat, Google them and order something.

I don't USUALLY wear gun-related clothing, but I'm willing to bet that at least 80% of people don't even notice when I do. I'm not exactly intimidating (TAM can vouch for that ) but I don't present an easy target, so I'm okay with it.

It's been like that for me for several years. Whenever I see somebody wearing one I figure they're carrying. It just seem out of place and stands out a little more than regular clothes.

I wore one everywhere over ten years ago. Worked well then, still does, but I've gone another route, now.

Fanny pack or anything close to one - pish posh, once agaaaaain, I'm far too astute and stylish for such frippery.

Seems every pickup truck within a 50 mile radius of my house has one of these on the back window.



Maybe it's just to confuse the predators, like zebra stripes.

The photographers vest never worked for me, but I did have a nice fanny pack designed for CC until one of my puppies chewed the belt strap off. If I can ever get it fixed up I'll rock it again.

I'd sooner spend the evening in a karaoke bar than wear a Shoot Me First vest.

No, I don't look to see who is carrying because I simply don't care. I do look to see who looks suspicious - if they do, I watch their hands and mannerisms. I'd rather be doing that and see potential trouble as soon as they make any kind of move, which would actually be useful information, rather than waste time playing a "who might be carrying" game.

I don't usually think about carrying concealed or who else is doing it. I bet most folks are the same. An NRA hat simply tells me the other person is a brother or sister in the fight to protect our rights. I never considered if they were carrying concealed. Like someone else posted. I really just don't care if they are carrying.

If I see a guy or gal wearing camo, I don't assume they are in the military. I also don't assume they are going hunting that day... Or ever.

My opinion is to wear what you want. I bet 99.9% of the public doesn't give it a second thought. Unless you look like a slob. Then they might think... Look at the slob....LOL or maybe they will lock the car door if you walk in their direction.

Now the other topic of putting a sticker on my vehicle. No way.... I am just too worried I might be tempting a thief to break my window out.
