Admittedly that chief of police is a clown.
Why is it that the most liberal of cities police chiefs uniforms look like a banana republic petty dictator's uniform? He's got more stars than a Christmas tree.

Unfortunately those are the clowns getting the publicity. Did he not think before he spoke or is he just that stupid?

With two shootings by police at suspicious vehicles presumed to be Dorner, at least they practice what they preach. This chief's statement takes the usual "anti" stand that all guns are bad and can only be used for crime.
He has conflated the good citizen's need to carry a gun with the criminal's need to carry a gun.
Good citizens carry a gun to defend themselves and others.
Criminals are the ones who carry guns to intimidate and show power.
